the presence of suckers only. Note the large photophore imbedded
in the tentacle stalk.

The Pyroteuthis addolux club shows the presence
of a single series of hooks in the proximal portion of the club.

The pair of P. addolux clubs shows that the
clubs are virtually unexpanded: the circular carpal-locking apparatus
can be seen at the base of the clubs.
