Introduction

A common Adelpha species, occurring in lowland forests from Mexico to Paraguay. Willmott (2003) states that it is very closely-related to, and sometimes indistinguishable from, Adelpha iphicleola.

Comments	Willmott (2003) states that Colombian A. iphiclus and A. iphicleola are indistinguishable. I based the ID on the tapering of the white band towards the costal margin of the forewing - perhaps not an informative character!
